It's a two-seater, for couple only? I think there's a threshold that a car ceases to be useful when it come to size. When it's too small, it's just becomes not practical, like you can't really carry stuff in it, can fetch only 1 person, etc.

May be this was designed with the minimum fuel consumption in mind.....

Japan has this unique class of cars called Kei cars, that is <660cc, which drivers of such cars get discounts from tax/insurance/parking, etc.

iQ is Toyota's entry model to this category.

No wonder, it's more for those who live in city, which parking is scarce, may be two cars can park at a single car slot
