Default Unrestricted usage of OPC on Saturdays from Jan 25

SINGAPORE: Owners of off-peak cars (OPCs) will enjoy more perks from January 25, under the revised OPC scheme.

These include unrestricted usage of the cars on Saturdays and the eves of five public holidays.

Those who opt for the revised scheme will enjoy rebates of up to S$1,100 for every six months that the car is registered as an OPC.

But adjustments to tax concessions will be made to account for the removal of usage restrictions.

Moreover, the annual road tax discount will be reduced from S$800 to S$500.

Existing OPC owners can apply to convert to the revised OPC scheme by paying a one?time administrative fee of S$100 and road tax top-up.
